Phonebook download from Android phones?

Hello F10 gurus,

Just got my F10 and paired my Android phone (Samsung i9000) to the car. But it only downloads the SIM phonebook. Can the F10 download the phonebook from the contact list instead?

I know what you mean, there are numbers I access often and dont want to dig through a list of hundreds. Im not familiar with the Samsung phone but Ive made a contact list for the car and just hotlinked the phone numbers I use often to the memory keys below the nav screen.

Thought I'd follow up on this thread as I'm having the same issue (Samsung Galaxy Halo Android phone). I'm not sure where the car is downloading the contacts from, other than it seems to not be grabbing my most important contacts. Is there any settings I can change on the phone? I'm having the same issue on our brand new 2018 Honda Pilot, so its not just the Bimmer.
