Excessive Engine Braking (2014 528i)
First post - let me know if this has been addressed. I searched but only found a post from 2010...
I got a CPO'd 2014 528i last week and I've been back and forth to the dealership since then because the car will brake excessively at lower speeds. If I'm doing about 20mph and take my foot off the accelerator, it automatically will nearly stop, to the point my body will lunge forward. They've inspected everything and reset the transmission and adaptive settings but that only lasts about 75-100 miles before it starts again. Has anyone had this experience before? That old key on, gas down for so many seconds, key off trick doesn't work and the shop foreman reinforced that is not a real option anymore. I need some help before I lose my mind with this thing. Thank you in advance! |

That sometimes happens to me sometimes when I'm driving in Sport, Sport+. Staying in Comfort when I do slow, normal driving minimizes the effect.

thank you guys for your replies! The dealer finally gave me a different car and its so much better. I think there was just a software issue they couldn't identify.
