Because of that, I've downloaded what I believe is the current ones as of right now the 2014-1 European Premium.
This is in the form of 3 USB sticks worth of info. approx 7Gb each.

Not sure on the "professional" ones. Best thing to do is to find the version you currently have on your car which can be found if I remember correctly by "right selecting" whilst in navigation and somewhere there , you'll find the version.

Obviously depends upon the hardware you have in your car. Mine, a 2012 model had CIC , I think that was the last year for that being replaced with NBT shortly afterwards.
Thanks for confirming.
I have CIC in my F10 and had NBT in My E9x (retrofitted).

And as we said, 2015 premium maps are not out and professional maps are for CCC (old generation of navigation) in E-series. Just thought to share so those of you who has CIC, do not waste time on downloading professional maps.

For those who have CIC, 2014-1 is the latest at the moment.

gspannu,

collated my wishlist:
- Unlock doors when engine is stopped (start/stop button is pushed. Allows single pull open doors
- angle for mirror when put in reverse? - have non eletric folding mirrors
- enable playbak of videos using all codecs
- dvd/video in motion
- internet in motion
- videos to stored on internal hard drive
- digital speed in mph is a new option in bc
- The fog lights come on with the welcome lights
- 2015 maps upgrade
- close windows when car locked from remote
- speed limit display (no KAFAS2, is this a problem?)

saw these on someone elses wishlist, and thought i'd add them to mine as well
- add launch control
- Fuel refill points along the route

CODING DAY

I'm just wondering whether there will be times for this as by the looks of it there will be loads of people going and ill be coming from over 100 miles away

Also the DRLs and LED brightening to the max thanks for doing this nobody seems to have a clue how to do it in my area (over 100miles from you)

Just wondering also whether you can do the DVD in motion, and the comfort+ (I have adaptive dampers) panic button on remote, speed display in HUD, turn signal in HUD, tyre pressures display?

BMW Apps?

Hi Gspannu,

Can the "BMW Apps" be coded too? I remember it was "6NS / 6NR"? I am very confused with their codes. Does that require a separate FSC code?

Mine currently have Google search (not browser), The BMW Apps I am talking about it those like Twitter, FaceBook, Aupeo!...etc.

I also lives locally so I can arrive first thing / early in the morning, if that suits your schedule.

Many many thanks...

There is a lot for gspannu to do there, I'll bail out of sunday, nothing I wanted is urgent by any means. Free up time for others.

DRLs and brightness to 100% can be done.
DVD in motion -yes
Panic button on remote - you should already have this
Speed display in HUD, turn signals (works in some cars, doesn't in some)
tyre pressures - yes, if you have the hardware

BMW apps requires a FSC code. This costs money and needs to be obtained from either BMW or people who supply such codes.

6NS is enhanced bluetooth - this can be coded free if you already have the Professional Media.

Please correct me if I am wrong.
On pre-LCI Non-xenon headlights, default values for DRL are already set to 100%.

Are they different on xenon cars if people are wishing to increase the brightness?

Ian (xenon) or others, please correct me if I am wrong.
NBT was launched late 2012 and perhaps 09/2012?

So the cars prior to that have CIC professional or business.

Best thing is to go into your navigation, click on option and click on the last option to check which maps you have.

It will tell you if you have premium or next version of maps. It will be different for business nav users though.

Well my last F10 was built March 2013 and it was CIC. I thought NBT came with LCI.

Interesting.
Just googled it and wikipedia says late 2012
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IDrive

Perhaps bmw introduced it later than that in F1x series. Or was it additional option on late 2012 cars (pre-LCI cars)?

Hmm. Maybe it was NBT then but the NBT in my F31 looks different and has the touch controller. My F10 did not have the touch controller so I thought it was CIC but thinking about it NBT was initially available without the touch controller.

Can't remember now....

The F10 got NBT in the fall/winter of 2012, but it was a gradual change. I remember a lot of US member got it before UK members.

Mostly yes. These are already set at 100%... but I have seen a few cars with values of 0x50 or 80%.

It might be that you had CIC. It could be that NBT was additional option.

NBT was not an option - when I bought the car I specced Navigation Professional, apps and so on - there was nothing else to add. Thinking back, it may well have been NBT but before the touch controller was released.

Still waiting for confirmation that it has arrived in the country, though at this rate it's unlikely but I will list out the things I would like anyway later, in case I do manage to make it. Thanks
