Thanks beancounter, I'm based in North London but it's only a half an hour drive from me so I will definitely be calling him up.

Good afternoon Dippo, If that was aimed at me, ironically, I am a "glass half full" and more type. The marketing of these deals is annoying, having bought mine a couple of months back and been through accords exact situation, I am saying that that is not what you end up paying....

Smoke and mirrors at its best.

I am happy with my deal, and it cost more than that but then my spec is different, accord is already seeing that other dealers are baulking

Right, well it seems that in the worst case scenario I'll have 2k to spend on options, so I'm looking at seriously cutting down my original spec list

So far I'm looking at Sophisto Grey, ambient lighting, advanced audio, and possibly parking camera.

Are there any strongly recommended options I should consider swapping out for?

I didn't have a chance to get down to the dealers today but I'll be going tomorrow to see how close I can get to my initial budget

If I was to have a minimum list of options (assuming that your car IS coming with Auto & Prof Sat Nav), your list would be it.

The M Sport Plus package is good value for money and it includes your advanced audio( which is outstanding, one of the factors that did it for me!).

Cheers

For me, I'd lose the Ambient lighting £220 and parking camera £355 (the standard front and rear bleeps with visuals gives you more than enough to park the car very well IMHO) and replace with the Multi-function display, will really transform the dashboard

I also think the boot spoiler finished the rear of the MSport off nicely, if you're going for an SE then I wouldn't say its needed

Balster, I won't be going with Pro nav by the looks of it, will be an auto with paddle shifters though

Beancounter, the MFD does look brilliant but I'm an absolute sucker for door handles that light up

That's what's it's all about though, it's your car

Even in base spec the F10 is a lovely place to be (and I would say better than the equivalent money spent on a 3 series) and comes with a lot as standard. At the end if the day, as with all things in life you cut your cloth according to you budget.

I do agree with you, the base model is a brilliant place to be and for the same money the 520d comes with all the essentials that you have to spec on the 330 such as heated seats and business nav.

I really do want to go with the mfd now actually so I'll most likely delete the reverse camera and add a couple hundred to my deposit

What info does the MFD offer you?

MFD - the display changes depending if you're in Sport, Comfort or Eco.

Each one placing a different prominence on things (Sport = big speed and rev counters. Comfort = your 'standard BMW display. Eco = it's all about saving energy with speed given a low priority).

Different info also is displayed in the right hand dial centre depending on of your scrolling on the phone or music. Centre graphics are also more animated for instance if you have a door open.

I'll try and link the short video I took, but I'm on the iPhone so may have to do it when I'm at my laptop.

Does the MFD show any sat nav instructions if you have navigation on?

Yes, in glorious technicolor. The two main dials sit further apart than the normal dash. Really nice it is

Well after watching Beancounters video and hearing that it displays navi info I'm sold!!

Am I missing out if I stick with business nav? What do I gain by adding the pro nav?

Big screen - normal screen looks very cheap and bear in mind that you will be spending your time inside the car and not outside admiring it.

Yeah to be honest the big screen was really the only reason I wanted to upgrade.

So many choices

I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the MFD.

@ Accord - I only have the business nav and whilst it is not as good as the pro nav, it it more than adequate for most needs. Yes the display is a little smaller, but I still think it looks nice in the car. If I was doing 15-20k miles a year, I'd probably consider pro nav, but I'm happy I spent my budget on other toys if in honest

I'm only doing circa 12k miles a year at the very max and hardly use the navigation in my current car anyway, so I thought it might be worth upgrading the sound instead of stretching to Pro Nav which I only want because of the screen.

Like you said, gives me more money to play with other options

That comes with All LCI models which came out last Summer. All cars ordered now will come with Business Nav, Xenons and tyre pressure monitor as standard.

I'll double check at the dealers today

Agreed on my LCI too, luckily no tyre pressure warnings yet either!

I see that the 'Black Panel Display' (not to be confused with the Multi-function display), originally a £1?0 option is now standard. I assume they adjusted the price accordingly though

Popped down to my local dealer today, got a quote of £3k down and £430 a month for sophiso grey advanced audio and ambient lighting
Then I saw a 3 series in mineral grey and damnnn it's handsome in msport. Then I asked a salesman to sit in the back with me and a mate and there was more space than the accord!! I may have swayed myself toward the 330d msport
