Wow, what a great thread with great looking tips!! I will say that I have seen F10 550i people sell their tips, and that could be a cheaper possible option (however, a muffler shop would defintely have to be involved).
My issue and question: I have a 535i that is NOT a M-Sport, thus I don't have the option to change out the rear valence to the 550i (wider tip cut-outs). That RealOEM diagram is confusing because that illustrated rear bumper does NOT belong to a 535i. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...10&hg=18&fg=95 |

The folks with a m-sport have it easy: they buy the tip and then the m-sport diffusor from the 550i/d and that's it.
if you dont have m-sport, what you need to is cut your bumper and add part 2 with the screws (part 4) to your cutted bumper. then you attach the tips..

Hi There,
Just resurrecting this thread. I actually took inspiration from this thread a few months ago and ordered the M Performance exhaust tips but they were on backorder from Germany (GetBMWParts.com) . I finally received them a few weeks ago and just got round to trying to fit these. I would appreciate if the people who were able to install these could shed some light on the following: 1) Assuming the chrome tips slot into the existing pipe (not on top of). I managed to slip inside, but it is very tight. Tip only goes in about an inch or so. Not sure I have to use a hammer/mallet to shape them further? 2) The exhaust tips stick out too much, was any cutting of the tailpipe required prior to install? I thought these were plug and play as they come with the clamps so no welding required. For now I have put my stock black tips back on (535i Msport) until I can get a better understanding of how to install these. Thanks! K.

hey, I saw that you ordered the Tips from Germany, had a quick question, the part no. is 18302298448, however is this for a set? i.e both the left and right or do I need to order the left tip and right tips separately? And do they have different part numbers?

Hoping to hear back from some of the posters on their install. If not I may just take it to a auto body/exhaust shop.

They connect the exhaust tip to the existing tailpipe by tightening the clamp with a provided bolt/nut, between them, so no welding required.

So I just had a local shop weld them on rather than use the clamps. Here are some pictures of how they look on mine.

wow it looks pretty nice! do you have a close up pic of the exhaust tips fitted? I have a 530i non-mpsort and I ordered the part too. It should be arriving today! I know i dont have a exhaust on the right side but a local shop which specializes in this kinda thing told me..it could be done, though the tip on the right would just be a dummy. im okay with that...what I hate is the exhaust on just the left side look...it just seems unbalanced. Will post pics after the installation.
