In the USA, the rear view camera is included in the Premium Package 2. However, it is also available as a standalone option for $US400, but must be packaged with Park Distance Control ($US750). So, $1,150 additional.

This shows that it can be done, assuming your CA can input the appropriate option codes. BMW Canada' s ordering system may require a special order, as your CA noted.
