Post Winter Wash.....v #wetnorcal

So after a very wet winter, which i'm hoping is for the most part over with.

I finally got a chance to give the ole girl a quick wash.

Haven't washed the car since Oct....when i put on the ceramic coating.

- Cleaned Wheels with Sonax and Power Washed the fenders (lots of grass/dirt/debris stuck on the inside of the wheel wells)

- Foam cannon on dry car - to remove first round of loose dirt (used wolfgang auto bath both times)

- Rinse with power washer

- Foam cannon 2nd time - and use wash mitt to wipe all the left over grime off (rinsing wash mitt in between), Also used a 2nd wash mitt to wipe down the wheels and the exhaust tips (since it was all covered in foam)

- Rinse Again

- use leaf blower to remove excess water, and wipe down the door jams and other hard to reach spots

- Black Magic Tire Shine

- Back her into the garage until i take her out - probably later in the week.

A few before pics, showing up close how dirty she was.

Front and rear fenders

Sonax Doing its thing...

After rinsing off the Sonax

Ass shot before the Foam Cannon

First Round of Foam - Which got rid of pretty much most of the loose dirt.

Finished Product

I'm still holding out, weather is too unpredictable this time of year. Mine looks like your before pictures x10

Looking good though, gives me some hope for mine. Wheels are at the powder coater, it'll be presentable soon enough

I grew up in Northwest PA and went to WPI for college.

I was in tahoe last week, for 3 days and even though the snow was beautiful, i DO NOT miss living in that stuff day to day....

Lookin' GOOD!!!!!! I also got around to washing mine last evening. I'm pretty sure the rain is over for a while here; at least for the next 10-15 days!

Thanks for the compliments guys, as I look at the car in the garage, i realized i did a rush job to clean it LOL, alot of small missed spots and the wheels still have some dust/dirt on em...

i'm a bit of a perfectionist...oh well it'll need a wash again soon!

I'm in the same boat here in PNW. If the weather would ever be stop raining for a bit, I'll finally get to wash mine.

Keep it clean!

You're brave buddy! I could never take my car to an automated car wash ever! After the full paint correction and finally a garage I do it all at home now!

Very brave! Maybe a touchless car wash but never regular. Not a fan of the swirl marks.

Touch less only if it needs a rinse, like last week I took the wife's SUV thru a touchless to rinse off all the loose salt and sand from our trip to Tahoe

Nice work on the car. Looks shiny and new. I wish I had the time to wash my own car too.
