Are you using the launch control? I have a 2013, so no LC. Mine doesn't seem to launch very hard brake torquing, with minimal if any wheelspin... I wonder if it would work better with DSC off...

All my runs where sport + shifter in sport and Manual shifting. I shifted the car at 5.8k I tried auto shift and redline shift and the car is about .3-.4 faster when manual shifted. The key is to shift early as our cars run out of has after 6k rpm.
2013 launches way harder than 2014 cars.. And yes best 60 is achieved with traction fully off.

Badblack is right. The 2011-2013 launch at nearly 4k! I launched Scott135's at 3.6k and I recorded a 60ft of 1.698. I used the same technique for my car and can't break 1.72. Lol big restriction.

Breaks all the way down and gas all the way down and drop the break at desired RPM . Ideal launch is with DSC off ( hold traction control button for 5 seconds .

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted to check. Any idea if that does anything bad to the car?

It's not bad but them again it's not good. It's a machine! Whatever you do is at your own risk. It's a BMW I'm sure it can take it.

Gotcha yeah last time I was at the track I was holding it at around 2300-2500 and even then I could feel it wasn't liking it too much haha. Thanks for the info! Next time at the track I'll try for closer to that 3000-3500 for my starts

I'm going to pull a captain obvious possibly, but why would a person go with a beta stage 2 if your stage 1 is so quick?? Stage 1 seems like a breeze to install and is a little less expensive.

Stage 2 Beta is for 2010-2013 N63 engines. Car in discussion here is a 2014 N63TU. The years have a different piggy back tune completely.

I understand that, it just seems like a cranked stage 1 car beat a beta stage 2 N63. Is that due to the 2014 model difference or simply because the BMS was turned up?

The stage 1 is cranked up for the 2014.. The tunes for the 2011-2013 compared to the 2014+ are completely different.

Correct - just because it's called stage 1 and stage 2 for the 2011-2013 doesn't mean that the stage 1 for the 2014 is comparable (to the stage 1). It's apples to oranges.

Did you install the tune yourself? It looks like a straightforward plug-n-play, was that your experience?
