2011 550xi shaking 1k-2k RPM's 7th or 8th gear

Hi,

I'm a recent owner of a 2011 550xi. I'm shaking when driving in normal or comfort mode, RPM's at 1000-2000, in 7th or 8th gear. It only happens when I'm on a slight incline and giving it light acceleration.

Dealer has it and has replaced the transfer case (twice now). They say it's still there, but it's "normal".

Anyone else with a similar setup have this?

2011 550, I have the same thing going on. Some people have said replacing the fuel pump fixes it so I'm trying to get thAt done under a recall . Hopefully my car qualifies for it

OK, so far they've replaced the transfer case AND the tranny... It's still there... I'm guessing something in the engine. Coils? small vac leak? Injector not within spec? Anyone?

Sounds normal to me as you're lugging the engine.

is it normal for the engine to lug when you have an auto... The transmission should be smart enough to downshift if it doesn't the power on tap to overcome an incline.

I've noticed that the computer will stay in the highest gear possible to safe fuel. Though by 2K the shuddering should be gone.

How are the coils and plugs?
