Anyone have experience in feeling a looseness in steering when on throttle @ high aggressive speeds?

During normal driving and highway it feels good, only when I get aggressive not so stable..

That's definitely not my experience. My F10 (and the E39 before it) both feel fully planted at any speed right up to the limit.

Tires, (what are you running?), tire pressures, tire wear and/or alignment could have a part to play. xDrive torque distribution under heavy load, with any of the above, could be involved.

Sounds right It could be the xdrive distribution, front just feels lite under hard highway acceleration. I just got this CPO last month, coming from a HEAVY a$$ E70 X5 3.5i

Not my experience either.
F10 is one of the most stable, well planted cars at high speed I've ever driven.

Agree, a very solid feeling chassis under load and at speed. Something is likely wrong, RWD would be easier to eliminate. Probably rear alignment needing adjustment and/or a bit of front toe.

xDrive compounds the issue. Could still be front toe, we need to remember 'coasting' vs. driven wheels change the toe angle, (rear wheel drive vs. front wheel drive). Loading xDrive, (more aggressive driving) with more torque transfer to the front axle, can be doing the same thing, changing front toe in the process. Any wear will amplify that change.

I think I know what you are talking about, coming from my e90 330xi to my 535xi at first I didn't see what everyone was complaining about with the electronic steering feedback until I was late cornering into a quick left turn. Everything felt normal, feedback wise but I could feel the front end was about to exit the asphalt so I turned the wheel harder and it was like no feedback and then it was normal again.
I have been able to recreate it since then but always assumed it was a condition caused by the electronic feedback in the steering .

OP....Did you have your front end checked out, alignment checked etc?....I have the same issue in my 550i. My experience is that my car seems to wander and the front end seems loose with very poor steering response. I have very low confidence in this car at speed!! Yeah it could be tires wearing at different rates but I have not rotated them, the pressure it on point, it just feels like the steering is too light and has slop in it, sort of like an old truck with worn our bushings. Ive gotten under the car and checked tie-rods and other bushings and they all seem good.

Anyhow, if you could give an update that would be appreciated.

To the OP: I know what you mean about the E70, that thing was solid, straight and planted on the highway. Its a shame BMW has lost this direction.

As far as the new models, my GT (F07 x-drive, hydraulic rack) is just like the E70 on the highway, it is on rails. My F10 (2wd, electric rack) is tippy, bouncy, doesn't track as well, and has zero feedback from the tiller. It is not just tippy side to side, it feels like it is tippy in the diagonal direction (hard to describe) It's a real bummer. I think you can get most of that back with stiffer suspension, but you will still have the electric rack if you have 2wd. KW coilovers, or ACS+konis or bilsteins would help. I'm hopeful that KW V3's adjusted on the softer side will be what I'm looking for. Good luck.

Like others have stated, most likely alignment related. I recently had mine done and the toe was excessive!! I also felt unstable at high speeds or twitchy..

Not in my experience, steering is rock solid at any speed. I was fortunate enough to drive one of my previous 5 series (2003, 540i) on the Autobahn. Rock solid even at 155mph (limited) and cars were even passing me at this speed! 200 miles in 90 minutes, what a blast. Back to reality now on the Interstate.

Interesting fact, the fatality rate on the Autobahn (per million kilometers driven) is slightly less than on the US Interstates! Go figure, the answer as to why should be fairly obvious.
