Rubber Trim Wear on Drivers Side
Is anyone else having the rubber trim tearing away on the drivers side? I\'ve noticed that for me to get into my 535 M Sport (2011 with 13k miles) I tend to slide in against the frame of the car. I\'m 6\'2 210 so I\'m not a small guy. Both the rubber trim and the black fabric are tearing. Anyone else seeing this type of wear and tear?

I think the door seal failure has existed since the beginning of time. Your butt rubs it getting in. On sport seats I have noticed the bolster wear as well. You have to make a conscious effort to egress and regress properly to prevent this. In the BMW service manual it is referred to as butt rub failure, just kidding

Yes, I have noticed the same problem , when I get out of the car I have a tendency to push into the door frame on the B pillar (?). I have on several occasions thought that I had ripped my jacket because it was catching on a part of the rubber molding. I am also tall and believe the issue is caused by the fact that the seat is further back from the door opening and makes for an awkward exit out of the car.
