Intake box
Does anyone know what the little box is for attached to the strut brace? I just noticed on another board member's photo, he doesn't have them for the same engine. I'd imagine the path of least resistance is better for the engine, but are they just for show on the bottom picture???
No Boxes Boxes

Those boxes are to reduce intake resonance and sound. Most manufactures have these to control intake noise the driver hears.
Seems they took them off on the new models. Good news, because its was too quiet.

One cool thing would be if these boxes would connect to hood intake grilles.
Kinda like the M3.

Haven't looked to see if they can be removed/patched. Hopefully some vendors come out with some new intakes soon.
