So recently I've noticed a rattle coming from the right muffler on my 535i. I have a set of M5 mufflers welded up and upon cold start or revving, you can hear the closed valve rattling against the inside of the exhaust pipe. It's starting to annoy me and I do not want to permanently open up the valves as it creates a lot of drone.

I was thinking of having my exhaust guy do a very small tack weld on the inside of the exhaust pipe where the valve & the pipe meet to reduce any movement and chance of rattling. Does anyone have any other suggestions? I was also thinking of spraying WD40 in there in hopes that it would maybe clean up any gunk and lubricate the valve.

Tack weld is only temp fix Good luck anyways
