Hey guys,

I'm going to do 1200 miles oil change and was wondering if anybody uses 0-30 German Castrol formula you can buy at Auto Zone? Thanks

I just did mine at 1800 miles with Mobile 1 0w40, car runs little quiter. 5qts at Walmart is $25. I did see lot of shiny stuff in oil with flash light, like little stars.

I suppose. I have jb4 2 & downpipe since 1200 miles, I don't like babying car.

but bmw insisted I put in the 5-30 it labeled

Hmmmm... German Castrol is LL1 and is on the approved list. Mobil 0-40 is should be on the list too!

If you read more carefully, I was referring to price for 5qts. "5qts at Walmart is $25". There is no word "bought" anywhere in my post. Retard.
