Oh, "M Sport is just cosmetics" only on xDrives. On 2013-2014 RWD 5 series (USA), M sport gives you the highly-regarded passive M Sport Suspension "704" option.

I *think* that Sport+ mode comes if you got the Sport Auto Transmission (ie with paddle shifters).

Don't forget the higher steering effort on the M Sport X Drives (not sure about steering effort on the non X Drive M Sports).
