Tire lifespan (statistical project)
Hey guys!
I was thinking of starting a database to collect everyone's experience as far as tire lifespan is concerned. I tried searching the forum for this but didn't come across any organized topic on this subject. Honestly, I was thinking of creating this topic just to ask about tire lifespan in the 19" size I am going to get, but then I thought, why not start collecting everyone's experience with F10/F11 tires and make something more practical for everybody… What do you guys think? I would need your input in several criteria: - F10/F11 - wheel diameter, inches - wheel width, inches - tire brand - tire model - tire dimensions (width, profile height, inner diameter) - tire speed and load factors - tire set actual lifespan, in miles or km - car engine (hp, torque) - transmission (RWD, xDrive) - suspension (standard, M-sports, Adaptive Drive/ARS) - springs (stock or 3rd party) - shocks (stork or 3rd party) - driving style (here we could select which style you drive with more often: "Eco Pro", "Comfort", "Sport" or "Sport+") - any other criterion that you might think is relevant but that I may have forgotten. The more data we gather the more significance we may derive from any statistical treatment (multiple regression, etc) and we may have some very interesting conclusions in the near future! I think that creating a new shared worksheet in Google docs would be a good idea, but I am open to suggestions. Your comments will be highly appreciated! |
