Blown rear strut!
So sad that after about 2 weeks of having my h&r springs installed, my rear strut seems to be blown and not working properly And thats only after driving on it for about 500 miles. It is now leaking fluid and while driving at lower speeds between 20-50mph it makes a loud rattle/clunking noise! Not even sure how this could have happened so soon after the install. Guess I have a few options: 1. Buy a used rear driver strut and replace. 2. Buy coilovers like kw2. 3. Replace all springs back to oem springs and see if dealer will replace under warranty. What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

sounds like the h&r installer messed up, perhaps scratched the damper shaft, which ultimately broke the seals.
You you should bring it back to the shop that installed the shocks. If the dealer doesn't honor the warrnty claim, the shop will you your next recourse, although that would be slim. Hello coilovers! |
