DTC Issues on 550i x-drive

Has anyone had issues with their traction control coming on at highway speeds?:

If I punch it in any mode at any speed, the loss of traction light will come on. This has not been an issue before and the BMW techs are baffled by it as well.

Thanks for any feedback!

Not that this will help you any, but with a scan tool id start by monitoring all 4 wheel speed sensors and see if one is malfunctioning or reporting a faster speed than the others. Pretty common issue on normal cars for ABS related issues, but ive never had to trouble shoot a BMW, and hope to never have to

Silly question, but are all 4 of your tires the same size ?

Ya I though it was ABS or TPMS myself but BMW service said it was not.

I have wider tires on the back, but always have on my summer rims.

wide doesn't matter but height does... what sizes are on the front and rear?

I had a similar issue. Stability control light flickering and I believe on solid until I pulled over and turned the car off and on to clear it. I had a code in that I did not recognize, and though it would clear, once I ran a scan again it came back in. It still does this. I'm on the west coast for a bit, but will research it more when I get back.

The code is: DSC interface (actual braking torque sum, 0xEF) signal invalid.

The dealership got the same code to clear and come back in on a scan. They've never seen it, and could find nothing in their system with the same nomenclature. This was stunning to me, so I contacted BMW NA Headquarters. After multiple back and forth e-mails, I finally got on the phone with HQ, only to find out that no one there could answer my question. No engineers on staff to field...you know...engineering type questions.

If you have a BT cable, I would scan it and see if you have the same code. I'll see if I can't work on this more when I get back home.

As an aside I got stuck in a Toyota Yaris for a rental. To say I miss my 550i is a gross understatement.
