I am trying to figure out if you can have the non-nav screen default to Office messages rather than radio station presets after initial startup?

Don't think so, but you could assign it with one of the 8 quick selection keys.

Does BMW ever truly do daily driver tests to find out what is wrong with their cars? From what I read in the forum about a dozen simple technology no-brainers found in much older cars are missing in a car of this price. Ridiculous for the freakin $$$.
