Picked up my new 535xi yesterday -not happy

I know its hard to walk away from a car you waited that many weeks for. Hopefully your issue gets resolved and you end up loving the car. It is a wonderful car.

All I can say is I would never have taken delivery of that car being that is was not what I ordered period. I know, hard to wait but....

The latest is that the car is still at the dealer waiting for a new idrive computer (called CIC). It has been 8 days since the car was delivered with a faulty idrive system. They replaced the idrive (CIC) earlier this week but when I drove the car home on Tuesday evening the idrive failed again. They have told me that replacement CIC was faulty and that there are no others in the U.S. and therefore they must order one from Germany. It won't be delivered until the middle fo next week.

I am now on my 3rd loaner car. It has been a very, very frustrating experience. It is possible I will have to invoke New Jersey's lemon law although I hope not.
