Owning a 2011 535 with Sport and DHP, and having driven an A7 once and an A6 twice, I can't say that I disagree with much except that the steering is less satisfying in the Audi than they let on in the article. Other disagreements I have center around less important things like MMI vs. iDrive and rear-seat legroom.

I give the edge to the Audi's powertrain, both from an engine and transmission point of view. The Audi has much more predictable handling, but it's got a dedicated all-steel, non-adjustable sport suspension. I would like to drive an all-steel M Sport suspension and see how it would compares.

i don't understand why everyone is raving over the audi interiors.. they look and feel very cheap to me.. i decided against getting an a6 because of the pop up nav and interior quality..

I know a few audi fanboys who are fed up with the interior design. In the case of the new A6, specifically the pop up nav screen and the horrible gear lever.
By the way I saw a new A6 today, doesn't look bad at all IRL. Maybe a tad bit boring.

F10 interior is the best one I have ever seen on any car before. I've had Infinitis, Acuras and other Bimmers... A6 counts in that pack, doesn't even come close to that of F10.

Exterior? Hmmm... F10 turns heads like crazy (OK - my head, I can recognize it from the distance and it looks simply stunning). A6 - is sort of aggressive, modern, youngster, "check me out" sort of design. Looks more like a concept car in some ways. Not that appealing to me at all. Oh, and the F10's angel eyes are a million times better looking than the bottom styling of the A6's light.

This is all very subjective, I know, but look-wise inside and out, the A6 is far behind, just like all other cars. Driveability... I don't know. Still waiting for my F10 (2.5 months now), and have not driven the audi (why? look above...)

The F10 test drives were amazing, I loved it (maybe not long enough to detect issues, but I did three of them, so I've figured I'd spot something really odd by my standards, even the tip-in did not make itself apparent) I currently own a 328i and like it as well, just no enough go.

And I've always loved the Bimmer interiors, so what's the problem? Bimmer drivers are supposed to be some kind of a different breed, focusing on what's under the hood and other mechanics? I care about the looks a lot, probably just like millions of other BMW lovers. And I'm getting a 535i (purposely not the Xi if that makes me more of an enthusiast) for the additional excitement.

I came from an Audi S5 (baby girl on the way) and I found the door panels to be one of the cheaper things on the car. The amount of bare plastic in the S5 was a little over-done. Granted I miss my "toy", I am enjoying my time with the 5!

Audi has better looks and quality of materials. Having that said BMW has better handling and performance over all and are easier to upgrade after market wise. NOW just so people know before you guys massacre me, I own a brand 2011 F10 550i, and I Love it, wouldn't trade it for an s line A6. Having that said, I had a highly modified b7 RS4! which was a dream car but the maintenance killed me! M3 perform better but you beat the aesthetics of Audi.

But for the sake of my Sanity 535i All DaY Everyday !!

PS unless ur in retirement age and want a nice car that feels like a boat lol
