535 Factory Recall

I was suppose to take delivery of my 535 last week but according to dealer there was some kind of recall on the power seat module that was not working properly which also includes a software download. My car has been at the dealer for over a week and they are waiting for BMW to provide them with software fix. The actual seat module was pulled from another 535. According to the dealer there were a number of 535's affected but not all of them. Has anyone else heard of this? I am so frustrated knowing my car is sitting there and their is something wrong with it. I am suppose to be going on a driving holiday thursday but they don't know if the softward will be updated and working by then.....I hope I don't have a lemon.

By Power seat, do you mean the standard memory seat or the comfort seat option?

Apparently the parts for the power seat module were delayed due to the ash cloud from the volcano. BMW shipped some vehicles without the power seat modules installed so the cars wouldn't be held up at the port. Now that the cars are delivered, they need to receive such modules.

My 550 was at the Prep Center in GA for 3 weeks waiting on this fix

Sorry, I hadn't updated my signature. My 2011 550 had the seat problem.

My neighbor ordered a 535 at the same time I did my 550 and he got his 2 1/2 weeks before I did. They came over on the same boat.
