Yeah you shold I didnt and now regretting those things hit 500f under the bonet.

If you have the budget for it, i would get the thermal coating. That being said i have never had any issues with any ER DP so i would not be too worried about it.
Another advice would be to check the vendor section and get the DP from a vendor instead of the manufacturer directly
