badblack, have you looked into get some port work done on your heads? I would bet there is a lot more left in those stock heads. I've been trying to find the stock intake and exhaust flow numbers, but haven't come across that data. Heck, I bet some simple bowl work and a good 5-angle valve job would yield noticeable gains.

yeah i was thinking to look in to this the 750 Alpina has bigger heads than stock and it's n63.. someone told me it should be a direct fit.

That would be interesting to hear about. I've drag raced and built engines for about 10 years, so I've always followed along with any threads pertaining to it.

i wonder how much simple bowl work and a good 5-angle valve job would cost me.. then i can compare to price vs the Alpina heads which are $2500 used + installation..

Nice, I wouldn't doubt it on race gas and aggressive settings.

You ditched your downpipes right? Or were going to catless?

I wonder if the AR downpipes choke down too much, they go from at least three inches through a reducer to the stock 550 exhaust. Any idea if the M5 downpipes will bolt up? From the looks of things they are a full 3 inch downpipe, though O2 sensor placement may not work.

Now we just need these things to breath better, after that we twiddle our thumbs until someone cracks the ECU. I've e-mailed a few companies that claim they have, but no answer back when asking for proof.

I gotta think sometime within the next year someone legitimately cracks these things.

still have my downpipes i cut them at theend to keep the 3 inch and then ran it to my 3inch custom piping... they might be restrictive... but i cant go catless because terry no longer produces CAN tool to clear codes.... i make my own high flow K&n filters now to help the car breathe...

Nicely done on cutting the ends off. A full 3 inch exhaust along with your filters should allow that beast to inhale and exhale a little better.

Is anyone helping you with the install of the meth kit? Or are you going to follow the M5 instructions and tackle it by yourself?

My only request, take LOTS of pictures!

Off topic but will the BMS CAN tool for the 335 work on the F10?

So i decided to make my meth kit with some other parts besides what terry provides to make it easier on me. I will post my progress here for others that want to do it.
Big thanks to Alex from TnT racewerks for guiding me in the right direction with this.

Here is the 1st problem.. the piping going in to turbos after intercoolers is rubber on 550 while its hard plastic on M5 means i have to fabricate custom pipes with meth bungs.

Easy day dude, I don't even think they need to be that fancy.

The stainless steel v-band piece inside the rubber hose closest to the turbo flange is at least 1 inch long.

I would start by measuring the inside diameter of the v-band flange. Take that measurement to a reputable shop and have them make a 2 inch long section of stainless tubing of the same diameter, and weld a bung towards one end of that piece, have them make two of them.

So now you should have two pieces 2 inch long with bungs welded in each.

Unscrew the v-band flange clamp, remove the band.
Cut off the hose clamp holding the flange to the hose end.
Remove the v-band flange from the hose end.
Weld the fabricated pieces to the v-band flanges with the bung closest to the v-band end.
Cut the hoses to a shorter length to allow the assembly to line up.
Hose clamp the new pieces into each hose.

Good thing about something simple like this is the piece can be loosened and rotated to the position you need. Something like this would work, just a thought.

hey bad black, any specific reason why you would run meth before the intercooler? Ive always seen them ran after the intercooler.
