M Performance CF Front Splitter

Does anyone have the procedure/manual on how to install the M Performance CF Front Splitter? According to the website, it takes 1 hour to install. I wonder how complicated it is to DIY? Any special tools?

Super easy. Took me about 45 minutes.

Lift the front up to give yourself some room. I just rolled up on a 3x8 plank of wood.

Remove the screws from the bottom of your oem bumper

Test fit the CF lip to make sure all the holes line up

Install double sided tape to the lip for added adhesion especially at the ends.

Tightly squeeze the lip onto the bottom portion of the bumper while not yet pressing down on the taped areas until holes are aligned at the bottom. Once aligned, press and begin reinstalling the screws. You will need to install the middle screw without the washer because the washer will not fit into the hole for the middle support. That worked for me.

Good luck!

Me and a BMW tech worked on my splitter tonight in his garage. We used the 3M double sided tape. Mine was a total bitch to line up under the fog lights. We never got it totally correct without gaps showing and flush under the fog lights. We finally gave up and I am having to take it in tomorrow for the shop to attempt to line it up without gaps showing. Perhaps we are just more particular than others or perhaps my splitter is defected.

I took the splitter back to BMW this morning and they confirmed that mine was defective. They are ordering me a new one

I will post pics once I have it installed. All of the holes lined up on my splitter but the upper part that fits under the fog lights would not line up.
