Need help with tire staggered
Hi i need a professional help if possible
I have 2014 bmw f10 535xi m sport With h& r lowering spring Ordered a set of wheels 22" x9 et20 and 22x10.5 et 36 Because of the all wheel drive my guy says I have to run 245 /30/22 and 285/25/22 that's fine. It I can't find many choices on the rear except Pirelli and some no name brands so I wanted to know if I could run 265/30/33 but my guy said is too tall and is different front the front and might ruin my transmission because of the all wheel drive system is that true? Am I stuck with 285? Please help Thanks |

245/30-22 front and 265/30-22 rear will not work for at least two reasons.
The difference in overall rolling circumference between the front and the rear should be below 1% with xDrive. 265/30 is almost 2% taller than 245/30. Furthermore 265/30-22 is 6% taller than OEM size for F10 and will likely result in that the tire rubs the rear fender (245/30-22 is 4% taller than OEM but fits up front without rubbing with correct wheel offset, not sure about ET20 though). |
