2011 BMW 535 XI 30,000 miles VIBRATION!
As the tittle states, I bought my 535XI brand new, now it has 30xxx miles and warranty is about to expire at the end of the month. I just wanted to get everything checked out before the warranty goes. At first there was a excessive vibration at the steering wheel at idle and park so I brought my car into the dealership, they have changed the battery, re coded the car, and changed 2 coils. the vibration has since gotten a lot better but the steering wheel still has a constant light vibration at a stop or parked and at times I think I am able to feel a small hiccup of the engine from the steering wheel. my service adviser says that it is normal and are just signs of wear and tear. what do you guys think i should do, what are your opinions?
p.s they have previously changed spark plugs Thanks in advance ! |

Wear and tear? Nope not buying it.. That has something to do with the idle control or injectors. Do more research and get the car fixed before your warranty runs out..

I had the same problem. Even had the spark plugs changed.
It turned out to be broken motor mounts bolts or brackets for me. dealer fixed it under warranty and I can say the car is a lot smoother esp during idle. No vibration. I do occasionally get a hiccup out of the blue. Nothing crazy, just a slight vibration on the steering wheel (like when you turn out the ac while the cars idling vibration feeling). |
