I haven't seen that one before. I did have it tell me they were inactive three times in the last two weeks. It would come on for a few mins flash the light an then go off. It was a real wtf moment. But hasn't come back on since. Knock on wood.
Maybe they put the sensors near something electrical and they got fried? No clue man. You could try switching them out and see what happens.

The dealer should be able plug the car into their diagnostic computer and it should tell them exactly whats wrong. |

you gotta hear this... so i went to the local dealership and at first they could not figure out the problem.. they told me to drop off the car and will contact me, so i did.
after like 6 hours the advisor called me and told me that all the sensors were zapped from the outer source and i would need to replace all of them along with the modules on the car... and the cost of all this would be 1690 dollars.. i contacted the person that i bought the wheels from and i found out that the tpm on the wheels were 2010 version and i would need 2012 + version.. idk the dealership they are so shady and try to over charge you.. |

The frequency is the same for all the BMW's, 433MHz, the programming on the later version changed and is not interchangeable. We have seen a lot of issues with the system crashing from aftermarket sensors being put on the BMW's. The company that makes them for BMW, Huf-Group has let us know that the "knock off" sensors do not have all the same programming and don't transmit all the same information that the OE/Huf parts do and it can cause the system to get stuck in a loop.
