Question F10 535i rpm fluctuation when stopping

My 2011 535i is low mileage with roughly 35k miles at the moment. Sometimes when I am coming to a stop sign or a red light and the car is completely stopped, the rpm would dip a couple hundred rpm's and shoot back up couple a seconds later. This usually happens when the car is completely warmed up already. Anyone on here experience similar issues as me? The car is out of warranty already so I won't be bringing it back to the dealer. Other then this minor problem, car feels totally fine and the rpm never fluctuates during cold starts and idles smoothly.

On my 2014 550i I have a very similar issue except it happens in the opposite of scenarios - I have a nasty fluctuation during cold starts only where the car will fluctuate so far as to turn itself off shortly after acceleration. Everything shifts perfectly after a few seconds of starting.

Been to the dealer twice now with no resolution. They updated the software first time, second time unable to reproduce. Same mileage as you, 31k.

I am currently having the same issue on cold starts. Everything is perfect when warm. I had an e38 for over 10 years and see some of the same issue with the n63. Im replacing the CPS sensor as that was the code I was able to pull.(68k on my 550)

Nice yeah sounds about right! Very common issue. I'm surprised there aren't more threads here about it but lots scattered across the web. Seems to impact the range of F10s not just 550i/535i, but mine is also a 550i.

Taking it back to the dealer for the 3rd time soon for this as I am still under CPO warranty.

2 things you can try is to use MAF cleaner on the air intake behind the air filter and the one on the intake manifold.

You mean on the maf sensor and the tmap? I've cleaned the sensors recently and the problem still pops up occasionally.

Yes maf and tmap. Wonder if anyone has had luck with new coil packs or getting the new hpfp

My current plugs only has roughly 3.5k miles. My idle is totally fine and doesn't fluctuate/surge like many other have experienced so I don't think the issue is the hpfp.

Wonder is a walnut blast will correct it? I know it helped on my n54, but the real fix for my n54 with the same symptoms was new injectors
