Is "Integral Active Steering" worth it?

YES- had it on my last 3 5er's. makes steering effortless in tight spots. notice big time difference when i drive any other car.

This is clearly something that I will want to try out on my next company car, but for this car in particular (the one specced in this topic) I didn't want to risk too much since it is a private car.

Concerning your comments on red, my car is already 9 months old—I did some changes to the spec, so the one in this thread is slightly outdated—and I can tell you that I positively LOVE the HUD and the MFID. I honestly don't understand how you say that it is useless during the day since this generation of HUD is awesome: great resolution, full colored and reactive to different brightness requirements (e.g., when you are driving in a bright day and enter a tunnel, and then come out...).

Hiya... i am Now facing similar situation as you did some years ago. Going to order G30 xdrive but not sure about IAS.. how has your overall experience been?

Hello all,

I will buy an used 535i with a lot of options but it has the IAS and I hesitate with another 535i with almost the same options (but without Night Vision) and without the IAS.

I would know if the IAS has lot of issues, if you guys think it's a equipement which can bring me some problems, because if this element is down, you have to pay 1300€ for the rear rack and 1000€ for the electronic ECU which control the rear rack...
