Hello guys,

With sadness and 2nd thoughts I'm selling my barely usedd ER DPs.

The sound of the DP with the Bms intake is awesome. You can hear how the intake inhales the air and turbo spools really fast. Also the car feels stronger in all rpms and gears, especially in the top end when the F10 N55 is notorious for loosing power.

$485 plus shipping or Best offer takes it. Locals near fort lauderdale we can arrange to meet to save in shipping :-)

These are sitting in my garage and easy to install!!

Here are the specs:
AR Design catless 4" N55 downpipes

Looking to increase the power on your BMW with the N55 single turbo engine.
Install the AR N55 Downpipe and unleash the true power that is hidden in your BMW (535i and 640 only models).

The turbo is often described as a device that creates free horsepower because it is driven by already spent exhaust gases. In the BMW N55 engine, this exhaust gas is being restricted by the current factory downpipe which slows down the speed of the factory turbo to maintain or reaching the turbo optimum peak.
A turbo impeller wheel speed is mostly limited by the exhaust back pressure within the system. If one could eliminate some or most of this exhaust back pressure, the turbo will spool that much faster and effortlessly resulting in quicker engine revs and increase horsepower.

The 4 inch N55 downpipe is stated to add ~20 whp to the cars although a tune is definitely recommended to compliment the addition of a downpipe.
In addition to an intoxicating and exotic sound, these downpipes add significant power and help eliminate turbo lag!

I've had downpipes installed in several vehicles I've owned and the increase in power is immediately noticeable.

Was that the case when you installed this downpipe in your n55 535??
Does the JB4 tuner take care of the check engine faults that must occur without the catalyst??

Hi Ted,

Yes I felt the power immediately with a louder exhaust note :-) my BMS intake now makes the swosh sound
and yes the JB4 took are of the light since no light has come out yet. I still have the DPs installed yet (against my wife will... :-) ) and just enjoying the extra power and fast turbo spool... so if anyone wants them i will just take them out since the smell is what my wife doesn't like :-(
