17" Wheels on F10

While this question is contrary to the usual posting (leaning towards larger wheels), I am considering a switch to 17" wheels and tires once my 19-inch set of RFs are worn out. In fact, 17-inch wheels (style 327) was offered on the F10. However, the F10 was sold in model years 2011 through 2016, so I am wondering if there were changes to brakes and rotors over those years that might create clearance problems if I were to change from 19's to 17's. In short, if I were to install, say style 327 wheels, on a model 2016 535d xdrive, should I anticipate any brake-related clearance problems?

I recognize the styling shortcomings of the 17's relative to 19 and 20-inch wheels, but tires are less expensive and the ride should improve. I also worry about tire and wheel damage should I take a cross-country trip (when 19-inch RFs can be hard to find in rural areas).

i understand the need for you to go with 17's you being in PA. as long as you have the clearance without hitting the calipers you should be fine.

I am just wondering about those calipers. Have there been any changes in rotor size and calipers since 2011 that might create a clearance issue on a 2017 F10?
