Arma intake $1965!

Browsing Ebay as usual and Holy crap I couldn't believe what they're asking for this...$1965! Don't know anyone who's got this? Not sure if dyno is legit but it's interesting

Arma are known for their carbon fiber intake ... They offer quality products and it is not cheap

I noticed that most people interested in Arma products are from Europe or Asia

Not much US customers

That's for the e60. The only thing in that kit that's worth anything is the scoop. Bigger airboxs aren't not yielding more power. The 535 still heat soaks as the intake tract wraps around the entire engine, over the DP and the turbo and finally taking a nasty u-shape turn to a small diameter into the turbo.

The starting price for our F10 535i ArmaSpeed Hyper Flow intake is $1295 ( SPECIAL promo price for 5post member ). All of our Intake are made with Vacuum Sealed Dual layers Carbon Fiber with guarantee OEM fitment. The price point is set reasonably with the high production cost. We work very hard to ensure our products not just give you the performance gains but also transform the look of the engine bay. We do a lot of R&D with our in house dyno to ensure there's at least 5-15% performance gain from our intake.

All of our intakes are made 100% in house with our own carbon fiber factory to ensure only the best of the best quality will be send out to customer. So far all of our customers are extremely satisfy with the craftsmanship of our products.
Around this price point, we are proud to say that there's no other company on the market has better quality carbon fiber intake than us ARMASpeed.

Feel free to drop us a PM or comments here if you guys have any suggestions. Our team will work closely with you guys

Has anyone found a way to counter this? Is it possible to retrofit the F30 intake?

It's hasn't been done yet. I wish these companies would address that instead of mimicking the OEM setup. We measured the temps at idle before the FMIC and it was higher than a N63tu output charge temps. The intake tract hovering over the engine>DP>turbo is not meant for performance. I think BMW did it for esthetics. We're working on one that goes from the passenger side grille directly to the turbo very similar to the F30. Some F30 parts may work, but we're anticipating a complete custom configuration. Repositioning map and crankcase ventilation connections.

Yes Doubles, keep us updated. A solution that solves the heat soak issue would be very interesting.

Yes, but the true problem with the 535 in particular is the air duct trac runs around the entire engine bay. This causes incredible levels of heat soak. By mimicking the OEM setup there not much benefit as we have recorded extremely high temps at the maf sensor just idling. One thing that has not been attempted is wrapping the OEM setup in DEI gold tape. So even if you went with an aftermarket airbox that has more volume it doesn't negate the temps. Basically what I'm saying is the price of an OEM replica is irrelevant. If you want the best hot-air setup I would go with BMS. However, real performance does come from lower temps and thus my mission to create one from the passenger side directly to the turbo.
