Disintegrated Rubber Molding Around Sunroof

As I got into my car on Thursday I noticed the rubber along the backside of the sunroof opening had crumbled apart and I had a gap. I washed my car by hand on Tuesday and everything was good. The rubber had simply started to disintegrate. I'm afraid it will leak if it rains so I covered it in tape. I am leaving for Europe tomorrow and won't have time to see the dealer for a couple of weeks. Fortunately, I will store the car in the garage.

The car has 83,000km on it 3,000 over warranty. I do have the extended warranty but I'm not sure if would cover it. Has anyone else had this problem?

I do not see sunroof or rubber seals on the list of covered items.

F10 has more weather stripping than my house's doors & windows!!!!!!!!
And it is a bitch to clean too.

A quick update. I got back from Europe this weekend and brought my car into the dealer this morning to look at the molding. They are going to cover it under warranty. The parts are ordered and they will do it Friday.
