Keyfobs

Fellow Hong Kong members,

My salesperson promised me to give me 2 key fobs as gift (The one under the M stitched one). I just called him and he said they still don't have them yet. Is he telling me the truth? Does any of you have them already?

I dropped my key a couple of times already and I need the key fobs badly. Just don't want to order the aftermarket ones yet.

Really, then may be we have to wait for the dealer or see if other vendors will sell it.

I kept chasing already, those dealers are just sweet talkers, no use.

Auto-tailgate is what I should have gotten too. After those swirls I made by closing the trunk, now I used Grimmy's method, use the license plate to close. But really not easy.

Other options I should have gotten are black shadow-line trims, rear view cameras. After all, we didn't have to pay the extra tax.

I'm also fumbling everytime I need to unlock my car or open the trunk. The tailgate function was $9K before, not sure how much it is right now. I went with soft close doors instead of tailgate...I thought I'll open my doors more often than my trunk

Looking back, I should have ordered shawdowline trim and the tailgate function.

I ordered a key fob from a vendor. Should arrive next week. Will let you guys know how it goes.

Did any of you guys change your fog lights? It's too yellow...

RC3, I have two of them in OEM black and brown. You can have it just pay for shipping.

Thanks Kev. That's very generous of you but eventually I'll get the same ones as yours and it is just a matter of time.

May be someone else can enjoy your generosity.

Damn, thats expensive, and comfort access is 12k pretax.. that plus tailgate after tax.. =39k at old tax rate
U can still order the shadowline now, the parts about 4.5k-6k depending how much of the trim u want in shadlowline
I am working on a dual halogen foglight .. one super yellow, one normal (~4000k) but still working out how to mount it. But now I am interested in LED.. but the components still too new and expensive, so maybe in 1-2yrs
I always wanted yellow foglights, never had them before..
But if u want to go the other way and not change the housing etc. just buy a white 35w h8 halogen and directly swap it in, easy
Beware HID or higher wattages in fog, if u dont do complicated electronic wiring, it will fry the main headlight wiring system.. the power comes through there

For me I just want to match it with the headlamps that's why I want whiter. LED's are cool but too expensive. I've never had super yellow foglights before too. I've also heard about higher wattages frying the main headlight system and it voids the warranty

As for shadowline, I'll probably wait after the 6 month period so I don't need to pay tax. With the FRT, it might come to about 12K. I want to change my kidney grills to matte black (although still can't find one) so it matches.

Shadowline could actually order and retrofit at "german" to avoid the tax, not a difficult job so not really need to do it at the dealer.

Matt kidney grills probably have to wait a bit.

M aero kits are what I really want to do. But my wife will kill me.

The shadowline is 'glossy' black so would match the oem black grills which are also shiny. rather than matt
Jxnco, you can buy white h8s at any store, or even online, changing them in is super easy too.
RC, you only live once! do it, then be nice to her afterwards ...haha

Not sure. But if I do the M kits, most likely I'll do the quad exhaust. Will be very dramatic and she might notice.

The F10 M5 concept is hot BTW.
