Lowering the car via springs will destroy your dampers for cars that have dcc. It's not over ight , it takes about 2-3 years then the dampers will give in.

This is the question I am asking as well. I asked a BMW SA and he stated that with a small degree of lowering via springs, and no rough driving and bottoming out, it shouldn't cause problems with the struts. But, of course they will not warranty aftermarket springs not certified by BMW.
What is your experience with doing this? Are there any springs certified by BMW that do not void the warranty? |

Most f10 owners have not owned it long enough to reach that conclusion. We are all assuming it may or may not. If it does cause a problem then why would Dinan make a lowering springs and back it up with a warranty that matches BMW. It would be a losing business for Dinan if their lowering springs will destroy every f10 dampers if they have to replace them under their warranty.

So your analysis is that it's ok to lower our suspensions since there's probably little risk to the dampers. Your above statement would tend to support that. I hope it's true for everyone here. I think I'm going that way as well.

With any mod there is always some risks involve but as long as you don't abuse the car slight modification shouldn't cause any problems.
