Megan Racing Exhaust on 550i?

Anyone have a megan racing quad exhaust on a 550i? Most websites say it's made for the 535 only, although i did find a website that states it will work for either car. If so do you happen to have a sound clip or possibly some input? Thanks in advance.

Get the one for the 650i.

I have it, I used the one for the 535, its 2.5" but our oem exhaust has so many bends that it doesn't matter much, anyways, it sounds just like the video, I was gonna go with the 6 series one since its 3" but I read that the bracket mounts would be different.

Overall Im happy with mine, just some drone but you get used to it.

Awesome. Thanks for the replies guys. I think I'll give the 650i model a shot and see if my exhaust shop can do the mods

Shteigen Full System. Get that. Full system no modifying unless you have a Xi. And most importantly no drone.

combat I am actually subscribed to the Shteigen thread but saw a member post about bad responses from the company and bad fitment?

Deep sea blue metallic, I still have yet to record a good video, but when I do, I'll post it for sure
fyi it also sounds same as the 650 in the video

I belive its a Xi model and they never made one for the Xi.

Just for 2011 2014 rwd models.
Can't beat the price for a full system.

We have sold a good number of that exhasut to 535 owners and last week we sold one to a 550i .
Always got good feedback

Sandhu, along with the exhaust get some vibrant resonators as well. Should eliminate any kind of drone. Please report back about your experience as I have a 550i with an m5 difduser and currently my quad tips are angled in. Looks kind of whack. Thinking of going with the 650i setup as well.

For an exhaust of this price you shouldn't get any drone.

Chili, the Megan is a 720 buck exhaust. A eisenmann, active, dinan, meister craft should not drone for the money.... anything upwards of 2k bucks should not drone

Simple I'll definitely keep u updated bro. Honestly though I'm probably going to just order the shteigen today. Spoke with Mike at lsd motorsports and it makes more sense for me. I feel like the muffler shop is going to take forever and probably charge quite a bit to do the custom mounts for the 650i exhaust on ours and at the end of the day it'll still be an axle back system. I watched some of the videos of the shteigen exhaust and it sounds nice to say the least. I'll keep u updated though for sure.

Just had car lowered and wheels go on tuesday and it's getting windows tinted and roof wrapped as I type this. The car is going in to get fully wrapped in satin pearl on December 8th when they will install vorsteiner diffuser and lip. So I figure I will install exhaust after diffuser is on so I can get the tips to stick-out just right. Will keep you guys posted and throw up some pics. Thanks
