Just guessing but do you have the Active Blind Spot? I was told it uses a radar unit in both sides of the rear bumper to detect cars approaching rapidly.
But its just a guess. Are there two of them?

Looks like an SPIM (Smart Programmable Interface Module), possibly controlling the braking force display effect on the tail lights.

Maybe....but would need to look up the part number and see what it is. To bad I already relocated it to fit the M5 diffuser.

Common!! You really don't know?!!

That is the rear auxiliary servo controlled compensator that interacts with the intermediate electronic capacitor flow sensor in order to retroactively modulate the air diverter of the hydraulic counter-balanced cup holders,........Sorry, I could not help myself

All in good fun!!

I could be wrong but that looks like the comfort access sensor for the trunk. I had to relocate mine for the M5 diffuser install.

Not sure.....but, where did you mount yours? Does your comfort work with sweeping your feet under the bumper? Mine is in behind the bumper facing down and the comfort access sometimes work. The M5 diffuser is nice but getting it mounted requires work.

I figured it was comfort access. There are two components... an antenna and a sensor. The antenna is flat, the sensor is like a tube. Make sure the tube is near the lower part of the inner bumper.

Sorry you're having issues fitting the M5 diffuser on your non-M5.
