Chiver, I think your 535 may be a touch lower than 528 since your car is a bit heavier. Slow down on ramps and bumps bro.

mlai, what happened to your BMW center caps. Drove too fast last night and fell off?
You really have good eyes RC. Maybe mlai really drive too fast to test his car and give us the details Eibach report. LOL

Oops chiver, sorry to hear that..

You lowered with H&R and without any bodykit/ add on? If so, you really drive too fast. I think you scratched by the ramp, not speed bump right?

Yea hit the bump too fast and landed chin first on the ramp. The ride on the springs are so smooth I forget the car is lowered sometimes.

every 1 know eibachs is design for road use and not for track, which means they are softer.

Hopefully, will give a better picture (no pun intended) on the Eibach drop.

Front Gap:

Rear Gap:

You can see that the front has a slightly wider gap (2.5 fingers, measured around 35mm), and the rear only has 2-finger (approx 27mm) worth of gap. So far this is pretty perfect for me, as they were 4.5 fingers wider before And I wasn't looking for a slammed looked.

I do have to slow down going thru speed bumps and up ramps at my garage now

Complete side view:

As a comparison, this is with OEM springs:
very nice drop

No, took them off. They keep falling off when washing anyway

Mlai, that looks perfect drop! They got you the springs for 550 right? there are 3 diff weights for the front..
I was thinking use 535 or 550 springs on my 528, since i prefer front about 1cm higher than back, i always have low gas () and rarely passengers, and want front end higher to deal with speed/bumps

Chiver, you just install H&R? How you like it ?

I give Mlai some blame now, cuz since he tried eibach and says they're so good, i am a little tempted off my contented state .. damn you Mlai

Yes they got me the 550 springs. They are different part numbers and I told them so. I am also ok with the front a bit higher for speed bumps and ramps.

Hey! Don't blame me! I am sure if it is not springs, you wil find something else to tinker

Hi Grim

Yep got the H&R a few weeks ago. Pretty much like everyone said , that this should have been made standard , boat feeling is gone(no more complaints from my wife or kids) and much tighter. Im still deciding whether the drop is too low for me. As you know I only have the OEM wheels and no other mods, so havnt decided whether the look is right. Was looking at the other member Eibach or ACS to compare. I think the difference in the drop is negligable so Ill likely keep them on.

Will the springs get a bit softer?

Although the Eibachs are nice, the ride is just a tiny bit harsher than I expected. Will the springs get a bit softer after settling in?

let me ask the e60 guy if the spring is softer after 2 years of install.
I know the e60 is light so I guess it not the same for F10 but you can use it as a reference.

Thanks for all the info guys... Took the plunge and will be installing a set of eibachs at wk tomorrow... Will post some finished pictures when it's all done.

Mlai, your last comment concerned me a little but ACS apparently aren't available. Wk said something about the distributor no knowing if there were different part numbers for different models so to play it safe, stuck w the tried and tested eibachs...

For ACS, you need to go to BMW HK. They are also the official dealer for ACS in HK

Pro kit only. Sportline springs will be way too low for me

not just BMWHK
you can get it in US which is much cheaper or Europe
If installed like Jacky then your car will still have warranty.
If install out side then they will void it for that part.
