I have a 2012 f10 with media cradle but I cannot get video to play on the I drive music works fine running io5 on 4s

Had the same problem at first and thought I bought a defective one.

To play videos, you have to activate the BMW apps module on the selection screen with external device, internal device etc.. After this it should bring you to a screen that says its active and you can press menu or back.

Press back and you will return to the screen with choices of which media devices. Select external and look for the small video button and click play. The video will eventually expand once it starts playing (not sure if there's a way to do it without waiting tho..)

Learned it by tinkering around haha
