Calling all the wheel fitment experts..thanks in advance!

Ok, here's my deal. I recently purchased a 2103 535I Xdrive M sport for my daily driver. The car is great, I love it so far.

I was shopping for a winter wheel/tire setup and then I remembered that I have a full set of 235/45/17 on Borbet wheels with Blizzaks from my E39 M5

the E39 M5 wheels have a 74.1 Bore with a 20mm offset
the 535 wheels have a 72.56 Bore with a 30 mm offset

I called tire rack and ordered hubcentric rings that take me from the 74.1 bore to the 72.56 bore, should be perfect.

my question is: do I need to be concerned with the offset difference of 10mm? I figured the offset on the 535 is greater and I should be OK

Are there any potential issues? I don't want to mess up my car this winter

Next up I need a set of black Weathertech floor liners.....anyone looking to sell?

thank you for all your help

235/45-17 is over 5% shorter than OEM 17" tires for F10 (225/55-17).

The offset should be ok and will not cause any issues.

The OD is 1.4" smaller than recommended stock size. Your speedo will show faster than your actual speed. Depending on the width of the wheel (~8") offset and wheel sensors should work, no problem.

I wonder if that would throw a error code running that small of a diameter?

It will not throw any error codes.

But since the speedo show higher speed than actual with OEM tires sizes (a few mph), it will be a lot with 5% shorter tires.

The tires are way too small, and would look weird on the car.

aside from a smaller wheel diameter. just make sure the spokes will clear the brakes as well.
