F10 alpine white rear bumper

Anyone with a alpine white. Does the rear bumper colour look slightly different to the other panels?
Mine looks a bit different. Not sure if it's just the angle that the bumper sits at or whether it's just due to a difference in the material.

I used a G3 Clay Mitt a couple of weeks ago and it managed to remove the film and they're nearly perfect again...

Will try claying and polishing. Hopefully bring the two the same or near enough. The difference is quite obvious at the moment.

Claying is very hard work.. I read up on the G3 Clay Mitt.. same sore of idea but a hell of a lot less work :-) They're not expensive from good old halfrauds.....

Would it not be easier just to use a polishing machine? Or did claying alone remove the 'yellowness' from the bumper?

Claying/polishing do two different jobs so it will depend on the cause of the yellowing. If traffic film as suggested in earlier posts - claying will decontaminate the paintwork and remove the film. Polishing will then be required to remove any marring caused by the claying process and bring the paintwork back to a glossy finish.

Mine (alpine white) is off at the dealer so I'll be checking this out when I get it back as I want to do a clay/polish/seal/wax session anyway!

Seems quite a few now where the rear bumpers is slightly off colour. Seems more apparent on ones a couple / few years old. Now I'm constantly looking out for them

Mine is the same shade but I did spend some time claying and mopping a few weeks ago so it will be clean paint.

As mentioned it might be worth claying and polishing.

Will give it a go this weekend. But would the traffic film theory not then apply to other parts of the car, front bumper ? Why would just the rear bumper be a different shade?
