Of course the A6 and A7 are rare for now because they just came out. |

A6 nice, but...
I test drove a fully loaded 2012 A6 last month in comparison to 535 and 550. The technology in the car is amazing and the vehicle is beautiful inside and out.
However, I took very little pleasure in actually DRIVING the car. Acceleration is fine and handling is nice but just not exciting. I was happier getting into my 335xi and speeding away from the dealership. Not to mention the fact that lease rates are not competitive on Audi Vs BMW, especially for a returning lessee. I ended up getting a 2012 X5 50i which is much more fun to drive IMHO! The sale price on the X5 was $10k more than the A6 and lease payments are the same! |

You just have to drive it. Its looks amazing from the outside. But it felt like I was driving a civic on the test drive. SOOO underwhelmed by the drive.

I hope the new A6 is a great/improved car. I recently got rid of our 2010 A6 for our 2011 535i. We left BMW(328i) and decided to try Audi and as soon as we could went back to BMW. The car was fun to drive and had nice pick up but it ended there. The ride wasn't near as quiet or as good, the materials(leather, interior panels, etc.) just didn't seem to hold up to BMW, and the service was not on par. We were very disappointed in our local dealer and Audi of America. Now this is just my opinion and I do hope the new A6 is better but I wasn't willing to take that chance. Especially when a coworker of mine told me he was trying to get out of his 2011 S4 and getting back into a BMW.

IMO the A6>535 but there is nothing Audi has that competes with the 550i. If they did I probably would have bought that as I was impressed with how well the A6 handled but its pretty underpowered vs the V8TT.
