replace battery light
I just dropped mine off for service this morning. Have any of you actually had the issue resolved?
My Bro-in-law's 2011 328i has been in service for a week, they haven't managed to fix his battery discharge issue - (which I assume must have a similar root cause). They told him to drive it every day, he did then finally the car couldn't last 24hrs before the battery was drained rendering the car undriveable. This stinks of a lemon law claim from my perspective because having to drive a leased car more than you want to is not the intended purpose of the car and it's lease. Mine isn't showing anything but a warning light, but I am worried since his is just not reliable. A big part of the value of a car, is knowing that it will start reliably, once you've lost that confidence, it isn't much fun. BTW, I'm big bmw a fan, this is my third BMW in a row, 2001 330ci, 2009 335ix, now 2012 535i xdrive. |

I had this issue just 2 days ago. The dealer said that their testing shows that I left my halo lights on but I know for a fact that my lights were not on. It is always on auto.
