Drivetrain malfunction at highway (90mph) plz help !!!!
Hi guys, hope you’re doing well.
I have F10 535i 2011 126k mile on it. The car runs idle with no problem, acceleration is quite normal with now issues, but on the highway at speed of 80 mile/h and more i get the massage of drivetrain malfunction and the car limits the power!!!! When restarting the message goes and runs normally until i reach the high speed and drivetrain malfunction pops up again…!!! 1- I have brake lights on the dash as i change the sensor but still not reset my front brake pads. 2- i have check light on as on diagnostic i found it catalytic converter efficiency below. Note: below the speed of 80 mile/h the car can accelerate normally without any problems. Plz help to recognize what’s wrong, i try to reach a spot diagnosis. Thank your |

Update: upon diagnosis i found the code that
1- charging pressure control plausibility too high. 2- charging pressure control : switch off as consequence. |

It can also be your boost solenoid, that a possible culprit

I have an N63 doing the SAME THING.... normal acceleration in lower gears, but at higher speeds where you spend more time under high boost, I also throw an iDrive malfunction, but mine is logging 102302 (MAF sensor)
I swapped the sensor banks & the error stays on that bank so it ain't the sensors. https://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2005147 Curious to see what your issue is! |

I was also going to report I have a similar issue. On highway under WOT around 90-130mph i get the same. I checked the codes and get an overboost code. I have yet to figure out the fix
