MSRP Discount on a 550
I'm looking at 2014 550xi with an MRSP of 79,675. What kind of discount off MRSP should I be looking for? I'm getting a quote of 75,725. They are also going to pick up the last 4 months of my MB E350 lease payments. Thanks!

Agreed. I'm currently negotiating a 550xi lease. MSRP is $84,025. I'm shooting for a sale price of $76,145 (including $1,500 option credit).

The average sale price according to TrueCar is $76,145 for a car with an $84k MSRP. That's about $300 above invoice (before the BMW credit). The market is very soft right now; 550 sale prices have been dropping consistently for a while.

I actually think that the price above is about right after recalculating ... not sure what I did earlier. $76k should be about right.

You can do better. I bought a lower spec car then the one your looking at and I paid under invoice. My discount was more then yours and my sticker was several thousand less.

They are not even coming close to those sales price numbers here in Central Florida. I feel slightly comfortable with my overall lease payment though. I think he was only taking $3500 total off price of car.
550i M Sport $77,775 MSRP 3yr 36 month 12k/yr $5000 total due at signing $870/mo including tax & fees "pulling ahead" last 2 payment of current X5 ($900/mo) |

Thanks everyone for the info so far. Does anyone have the current MF and 3 year residual (15k miles/year)? Dealer is quoting me .00170 and 55%. They seem off from what I've seen on the internet (at least for Feb deals). Thanks!

March lease terms
Your dealer is marking up the residual and the money factor. For March, the 550ix residual is 60% (15k mi/yr), and the money factor is 0.0013.

Yep. 60% is definitely right. Payment went down around $50/mo in mid Feb. Though I thought it was 60% for 12k/yr.

Question for those who have experience buying cars outside of their state. I live in VA. If I buy a car in MD, do I just pay the MD state tax? Are there any hassles/extra fees with then registering teh car in VA? Do I have to pay any sales tax in VA? Thanks as I don't have any experiecne with this type of purchase.

Lets not forget the payments they are making on the Benz ... that's got to be atleast another $2000 conservatively

I got mine down to about $78k and change on a car with MSRP over $86k. They were offering a lesser discount on the car I planned to order (almost identical) but got slightly more aggressive to take one in stock to make it into EOY numbers. If they're picking up 4 lease payments on your 350, your deal as-is probably isn't all that bad... I'm guessing that your lease payments are another few grand off.
