BMW Insured Comprehensive Warranty Query

Guys,
I am looking to take a plunge on a F11 535d and interested in taking out an insured comprehensive warranty. Now as far as I’m aware such a warranty is only available up to 100,000 miles. I do have a couple of queries which I hope you could assist me with:
- Do you need to have full BMW SH to enable coverage?

- If the servicing is undertaken by a third party (with receipts) using OEM equipment/parts would this prove an issue?

- Can you only get the aforementioned warranty if it’s an AUC car? How about a non AUC car that is out of the standard manufactures warranty?

Cheers

Yes you can get the warranty irrespective of whether the car was serviced with or bought from BMW dealers or not . The insured warranty can not be claimed until 30 days after first payment for the warranty.

I am unsure whether you can add BMW insured warranty to AUC warranty.

On my last BMW they offered me the Insured Warranty when the AUC warranty ran out.

Do you also get roadside assistance? My AUC warranty is about to run out too.

You can take an insured warranty irrespective of whether the car was AUC or not - if its a fresh policy the price is higher than if it is a renewal of an AUC or existing insured warranty.

You have the option to include or remove BMW Emergency Service, it works out at about 70ish quid a year for the breakdown cover. It's a very well featured level of cover, IMHO its good value.
