Hi All

Can anyone recommend a remap company for my 2011 525d ??

My local guy is pushing an Evolution Chip but I would like to hear about other options if possible

I had it done by Pendle in my old T5 and it was the best thing I ever did - totally transformed it

I have DTUK box. It has transformed my car however I have had following issues in last 3-4 months;
1- Car died on A road. Luckily I carry their termination loop so at any time you can take the box out and connect the termination loop. That reverts the car settings to default while the wiring stay in there connected to boost sensor and rail pressure sensor.
I had to do that and car started.
Gave me impression that box created that issue.
It happened when I went for boost position to 30% on map 3.
2-Unkown error. Again related to map 3 boost 30%. I revert the boost to 20%.

Other than that yesterday, my turbo did not kick in. It was first gear but as soon as car changed the gear, turbo kicked in. It was only once and I wonder why?
Is it a sign of sticky EGR valve? Is that a sign of turbo on its way?
Or is it related to tunning box.

DTUK box get good reviews and IMO is very good. However you have to find optimum map and boost for your car.

After these minor issues, I am considering a proper remap. But again these boxes are good value for money and you think do you really need a remap when tunning boxes are so good these days.

Not sure if yours is the 525d 3.0 6 cyl or the 4 cyl 2.0 (like mine). I noticed superchips now offer a "remap" for the 2.0, it's a piggyback solution though.

DMS can properly remap it too, but ££££
