Looking to sell my car. I initially was going to trade it in, but the dealership is offering me some ridiculously low amount of $ for me car. I told them I can't even get a Honda Accord for this $ lol. Decided to try and sell 3rd party. Here is the listing. Asking $42,000

Wow nicely done! Im actually in the same boat as you. I got a trade in price from a BMW dealer and the price they gave me was rediculous. its sad how the depreciation took a big hit on our car value. I guess ill have to wait til 2 more years to get my M5.

I actually financed the car and I still owe $, so I am just looking to break even with the sale. I figured with the mods, it is a good deal.

How much did the dealer offer? They don't care about mods btw and those don't add to the value of the car so you're better off parting out. The link you listed your car in says the price is overpriced by more than $6K!! With a market price of $35K stock I would accept anything above $30K realistically if I were you. Unless you go with the private sale route.

Over priced, but all the mods are factored into the price, plus the other stuff I got from the dealer such as perma plate, pre-paid maintenance upto 100,000 miles which is transferable.

Like I said, you can't even get a brand new Honda Accord for their offer.

Unfortunately mods don't add any value to a car for sale. You are better of parting out and getting your price closer to the suggested book value. Most "enthusiasts" want to mod their car themselves, not take over someone else's work. GL though, it is a beautiful car.

Yea the dealer has made it a point that mods do not add value. The SA even advised me to take it Carmax. To my surprise, Carmax wants the mods but were actually offering me LESS than the dealer. Couldn't believe it. So I figured I'd try to sell privately. Don't worry guys. I will part it out sooner or later, unless someone wants the car as is.
