M6 343 20” reconditioning process...going on my F10

I picked up a set of used OEM M6 343 with tires. The guy was cool and showed me his M6 Gran Coupe with new wheels and his Audi R8v10.
I was hoping to pick them up during the day but showed up at 7pm in the evening. In the dark they looked great and at $1300 I was happy although the rims had a little curb rash, no biggie I was planning on having them reconditioned. I decided to bring them to a local rim repair place that has 5-⭐️ reviews Kwicksilver in Colma Cali. First thing they said was let’s check the straightness. Two of the rims were slightly off. Needless to say straightening and reconditioning and powder coating will be around $1200. Also I’m planning on having them switch over my TPMS and recondition and powder coating my OEM 19” wheels...another $1k. It’ll share some photos along this journey. More to come!

Validated M6 rims

I was also concerned about real M6 OEM, strength and weight. Validated part and serial numbers.

dont think the M6 343's fit in the back? Might be wrong. I'm surprised all 4 would be bent.

Agree, if im not wrong I think that the M6 343 rear wheels are 1 or .5 inch wider and thus doesnt fit. I have the 343 wheels but from a M5. You should better double check.

Rear M6 wheels don't fit non-M F10's. The offset is too aggressive. Sorry to break the bad news to you.

I’ll definitely will check. Is the issue the interior side of the rim/tire will rub against the shock tower? Or stick out?

$300 a wheel seems excessive man. Here in NYC you can get that same work done for $150-$200. Shop around

Yeah the reconditioning/powder coating cost was a head scratcher but I knew I wanted it done.

Is there any rear tire size that would fit in my situation?
If not I guess I’ll be listing them on eBay for $2k as OEM fully reconditioned!

Rears will stick out. If the issue was too much offset, you could use spacers to resolved.

I just bought a set of 343 wheels for my f10 535 msport. A guy had them listed on Facebook of all places. They will all need to be reconditioned so I talked him down to just $400 bucks. They have some off-brand rubber on them which will be promptly swapped for Pilot Super Sports.
